Fried Green Tomatoes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 c. milk
    1 egg
    1 c. self-rising flour
    1/4 c. cornmeal
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. pepper
    6 green tomatoes (1/4-inch thick)
Preparation
    Fry in heavy skillet in oil or bacon grease.
    Turn with tongs, until golden brown.
    Drain well; don't stack.
