Mixed-Up Pizzaiola Bake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3/4 lb. short pasta (about 4 c.)
    1 (28 oz.) can crushed tomatoes
    3/4 lb. part-skim Mozzarella cheese, diced
    2/3 c. diced pepperoni
    2 to 3 large garlic cloves, minced
    2 Tbsp. olive oil
    1 1/2 tsp. dried oregano, crumbled
    1/2 tsp. black pepper
    4 Tbsp. grated Parmesan cheese
Preparation
    Optional toppings:
    Sauteed thinly sliced Italian frying peppers, red onion, bell peppers or mushrooms, olives, cooked and crumbled Italian sausage, thinly sliced sun-dried tomatoes.
