Pecan Goodies(A Yummy Christmas Cookie) - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 c. chopped pecans
sugar

Preparation

Cream butter and shortening; gradually add sugar.
Cream again.
Sift together dry ingredients; gradually add to creamed mixture.
Stir in nuts.
Chill 1/2 hour.
Shape into 1-inch balls. Place 2-inches apart on greased cookie sheet.
Flatten ball to 1/3-inch with glass dipped in sugar.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
Yield:
5 dozen.
