Cinnamon Candy - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 3/4 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1/2 c. light Karo syrup
dash of salt
1/2 to 1 tsp. cinnamon oil (1 1/2 tsp. for very hot)
red food coloring
Preparation

Cook the first 4 ingredients on medium-high heat.
Stir and cook to 250\u00b0.
Put in food coloring to desired color and continue cooking to 280\u00b0.
Take off heat and let temperature rise to 300\u00b0. Put in the cinnamon oil.
I put on a cookie sheet covered with powdered sugar.
Score with spatula (or I use a pizza cutter) before it gets too hard to cut.
Allow to cool, then put in airtight container.
