Lemon Loaves - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. shortening
    3 c. sugar
    6 eggs, well beaten
    1 1/2 c. milk
    1/4 tsp. grated lemon rind (the white)
    2 Tbsp. lemon juice
    4 1/2 c. flour
    4 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    3/4 tsp. salt
    Glaze (see below)
Preparation
    Spray and flour two 9 x 5-inch or 6 mini loaf pans.
    Cream shortening and sugar.
    Beat in eggs.
    Add milk, rind and juice. Mix flour with baking powder and salt.
    Slowly add to batter.
    Mix well.
    Pour into pans.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 for 1 1/4 hours until lightly browned (do toothpick test).
    Cool 10 minutes.
    Remove from pans. Glaze.
