Lemon Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    3 c. flour
    1 lb. margarine
    1 lb. candied cherries
    1/4 lb. candied pineapple
    1 lb. pecans, cut fine
    1/4 lb. walnuts, cut fine
    6 eggs
    2 oz. lemon extract
    1 pkg. dates, cut fine (8 oz.)
Preparation
    Sift flour over fruits and nuts and mix well.
    Cream margarine and sugar; add eggs, lemon extract and floured fruits.
    Mix well. Bake in stem pan at 250\u00b0 for 2 1/2 hours.
