Microwave Turkey-Stuffed Peppers - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 bell peppers (tops sliced off), cored and seeded (trim bottoms so they stand straight)
    12 oz. ground turkey meat
    1 c. bottled salsa
    1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
    3/4 c. uncooked 10 minute brown rice
    2 tsp. chili powder
    1/2 tsp. ground cumin
    1/4 tsp. minced garlic
Preparation
    Stand peppers in a 9-inch microwave-safe pie dish.
    Add 2 tablespoons water to dish.
    Cover with waxed paper.
    Microwave on High 6 to 8 minutes until crisp-tender.
    Meanwhile, put turkey, salsa, tomato sauce, rice, chili powder, cumin and garlic in a large bowl.
    Mix until blended.
    Fill peppers with turkey mixture. Cover with waxed paper and microwave on High 16 to 18 minutes, rotating dish 1/4 turn every 4 minutes, until thermometer inserted in center of turkey mixture registers 160\u00b0 and peppers are tender. Remove peppers from oven and let stand 5 minutes to finish cooking.
