Old-Fashioned Cucumber Pickles - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 gal. cucumbers
4 c. sugar
4 c. vinegar
2 c. water
2 Tbsp. pickling spice or 1 tsp. ground cinnamon and 1 tsp. ground cloves
Preparation

Mix vinegar, sugar, water and spice.
Bring to a boil; add cucumbers.
Return to boil.
Cook until cucumbers change to dark green.
Put in jars; cover with juice and seal.
Any juice left over may be saved and added to next canning juice.
