Applesauce Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/3 c. red cinnamon candy
1 (3 oz.) pkg. lemon gelatin
1 1/2 c. applesauce
1 (8 oz.) pkg. cream cheese, softened
1/2 c. diced celery
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 c. salad dressing

Preparation

Combine 1 cup boiling water and candy.
Mix until completely dissolved. Add gelatin. Stir to dissolve.
Blend in applesauce. Pour half the mixture into a 9 x 12-inch pan. Chill until firm. Blend remaining ingredients together.
Pour over firm applesauce mixture.
Pour remaining applesauce over cream cheese mixture. Chill until firm.
