Baked Caramel Corn - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 qt. popped corn (1 1/4 c. unpopped)
    1 can peanuts
    2 c. brown sugar (1 box)
    1/2 c. white corn syrup or molasses
    2 sticks butter
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Spread popped corn and peanuts in a large shallow sheet pan. Keep warm in 250\u00b0 oven.
    Combine brown sugar, corn syrup, butter and salt in a heavy pan. Place on medium heat.
    Bring to a boil and boil for 5 minutes.
    Remove from heat and stir in baking soda (syrup will form).
    Pour syrup over popped corn and peanuts in a fine stream.
    Stir and mix well.
    Return to oven and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.
    Cool and serve or store in an airtight container.
    Keep in a cool place, but very good served warm.
