German Sauerkraut - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. can sauerkraut
    1 small apple, diced
    1 stalk celery, sliced
    1 carrot, sliced
    bacon, cut into strips
    1/4 c. vinegar
    1/8 c. sugar
    1 tsp. caraway seed
    salt and pepper
Preparation
    Rinse kraut.
    In saucepan, put bacon, apple, celery and carrot. Simmer 5 to 10 minutes.
    Add sauerkraut, vinegar, sugar, caraway seed, salt and pepper to taste.
    Cover and cook slowly until carrots are tender.
