Mexican Style Rice - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. rice (uncooked)
    1 can tomatoes, cut up
    1 onion, chopped
    1 green pepper, chopped
    salt to taste
    pepper to taste
    1/4 tsp. garlic powder
    1/4 tsp. cumin powder
    3 c. water
    cooking oil
Preparation
    Place a small amount of cooking oil into a frying pan.
    Place uncooked rice, onion and green pepper in pan also.
    Fry on medium high heat, stirring constantly, until rice turns a white color. Add cut up, canned tomatoes, water and spices; stir and simmer, uncovered, on medium heat until rice is tender, approximately 20 minutes.
