Tasty Applesauce Pie - cooking recipe

1 can (16 oz.) or 1 jar (15 oz.) applesauce
1 c. firmly packed dark brown sugar
1/4 c. butter
dash of salt
1 c. golden raisins
4 eggs
unbaked 10-inch pie shell
3/4 c. buttermilk biscuit mix (Bisquick)
1/4 c. granulated sugar
2 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

In a 2-quart saucepan, turn the applesauce and brown sugar. Bring to a boil, reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes; removed from heat.
Add 1/4 cup butter and the salt; stir until butter is melted.
Stir in raisins.
Cool to room temperature.
In a small mixing bowl, beat the eggs well; add to cooled applesauce mixture and blend well.
Pour into pie shell.
Bake in a preheated 375\u00b0 oven on rack below center, for 20 minutes.
