Fried Apples - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 lb. green apples (Granny Smith)
3/4 stick butter
3/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
Preparation

Peel 5 pounds green apples (Granny Smith).
Put 3/4 stick butter in pan and let melt on low.
Cut up apples, discard cores and place in pan.
Add 3/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup water, cover and cook on medium heat.
Stir occasionally.
When apples are tender, remove top and let liquid evaporate.
This is great for breakfast with Virginia ham and eggs.
Also good cold with vanilla ice cream.
