French Strawberry Torte - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/3 c. biscuit mix
    3/4 c. sugar
    3 Tbsp. shortening
    1 egg
    3/4 c. milk
    1 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. strawberries
    1 c. whipped cream
    Glaze
Preparation
    Heat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Grease and flour a 9-inch round layer pan. Mix biscuit mix and sugar.
    Add shortening, egg and 1/4 cup milk. Beat one minute at medium speed on electric mixer or vigorously by hand.
    Add vanilla.
    Beat 1/2 minute longer.
    Pour into prepared pan.
    Bake 35 to 40 minutes.
    Allow to cool in pan 5 minutes; remove from pan.
    Cool.
