Gumdrop Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 lb. shortening
2 eggs
2 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. applesauce (unsweetened)
2 lb. gumdrops (omit black ones; use whole or cut)
1 tsp. vanilla
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. orange flavor
1 lb. walnuts, chopped
1 lb. white raisins
1 tsp. soda in 1 Tbsp. hot water
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation

Makes 2 large loaves, using 10 1/4 x 3 5/8 x 2 5/8-inch pans. Use wax paper or tinfoil in bottom of pans.
Bake for 1 hour at 350\u00b0.
