Deviled Drumsticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    8 chicken legs
    2 c. water
    1 medium onion, sliced
    1 large carrot, sliced
    1 tsp. marjoram
    1 c. water
    butter
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1 tsp. aromatic bitters
    2 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. mustard
    1 tsp. Angostura Bitters
Preparation
    Parboil chicken legs in 2 cups water with onion, carrot and marjoram for 1/2 hour.
    Do not overcook.
    Remove drumsticks from pot.
    Add 1 cup water, salt, pepper and 1 teaspoon aromatic bitters.
    Mix flour with small amount of water from pot and add to pot until gravy is thickened; set aside.
    Score drumsticks and rub with prepared mustard mixed with 1 teaspoon Angostura Bitters.
    At serving time, heat gravy and broil drumsticks under the broiler until crisp and brown.
    Remove to heated platter and brush with butter.
    Yields 6 to 8 servings.
