Drunken Chicken - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 cut up fryer or pieces of chicken
    mushrooms, sliced (as desired)
    1/2 c. onion (medium to large), diced
    3 large cloves garlic, pressed
    salt
    pepper
    1/2 tsp. sweet basil
    2 pinches rosemary
    fresh parsley
    3/4 pt. white wine or chicken broth or both
Preparation
    Shake chicken pieces in flour, salt and pepper. Saute in butter or olive oil and garlic until lightly browned. Add mushrooms, onion, sweet basil, rosemary, parsley, wine and/or chicken broth (the more juice you have the more liquid to pour over rice) and salt and pepper. Cook, covered, over low heat (simmer) for approximately 1 hour.
    Thicken gravy only
    if desired.
    Serve over rice.
