Kansas City Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 head iceberg lettuce
    1/2 c. green pepper, chopped
    1/2 c. red pepper, chopped
    1/2 c. celery, chopped
    1/2 c. red Spanish onion, chopped
    1 pkg. frozen peas
    1 1/2 c. mayo
    2 Tbsp. sugar
    4 oz. Cheddar cheese, grated
    8 slices bacon, crumbled
Preparation
    Line bottom of 9-inch dish with lettuce.
    Layer green pepper, red pepper, celery, onion and frozen peas.
    Mix mayo with sugar; spread over salad mix.
    Top with cheese, then bacon.
    Let sit overnight in refrigerator.
    Colorful for holiday dish.
