Swiss Steak - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 lb. beef round steak
1/3 c. flour
1/4 tsp. black pepper
1 large onion, sliced
1 (4 oz.) can sliced mushrooms
1 c. water
1/3 c. tomato catsup
1 tsp. salt
Preparation

Cut meat into eight pieces.
Sprinkle with flour, salt and pepper.
Pound with meat tenderizer mallet or edge of a saucer. Place half of meat in a 2-quart casserole dish.
Arrange half of the onion slices over meat.
Repeat layers.
Mix water and catsup and pour over top.
