Louisiana Yam Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 tsp. soda
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. nutmeg
    2 c. sugar
    1 1/4 c. cooking oil
    4 eggs
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 c. mashed cooked yams (fresh or canned)
    1/2 c. chopped pecans
Preparation
    Resift flour with soda, salt, cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg. Into mixing bowl, combine sugar and cooking oil; mix thoroughly. Add eggs one at a time.
    Add vanilla.
    Add mashed potatoes with dry ingredients and pecans; mix thoroughly.
    Bake in greased Bundt or tube pan for 1 hour and 15 minutes at 350\u00b0.
    Invert on plate and cool.
