Shoo-Fly Cake - cooking recipe
Ingredients

4 c. flour
3/4 c. shortening
2 c. brown sugar
2 c. boiling water
1 c. molasses
1 Tbsp. soda
Preparation

Take flour, shortening and brown sugar.
Mix thoroughly.
Take out 1 cup crumbs and keep for top; to the rest of the crumbs add boiling water, molasses and soda.
Mix well, then pour into a greased 9 x 9 or 9 x 13-inch cake pan.
Sprinkle remaining crumbs on top and bake at 350\u00b0
until done.
