Chicken Tamale Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

3 chicken legs with thighs
2 small onions, unpeeled
1 red bell pepper (whole)
1 (4 oz.) can chopped green chillies
1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen corn, thawed
1 (16 oz.) can whole tomatoes
1 (10 3/4 oz.) can condensed cream of chicken soup
1 c. chopped cilantro
1 Tbsp. chili powder
1 tsp. each: ground cumin and dried oregano leaves
1/4 tsp. each: salt and pepper
1 (2 1/4 oz.) can sliced ripe olives, drained
corn bread crust
Preparation

Put 1 cup yellow corn meal, 2 cups water and 1 teaspoon ground cumin in a 2-quart pan over high heat.
Cook, stirring, for 3 to 4 minutes, until mixture thickens and begins to lose gloss.
Set aside.
