Durbin Hotel Sugar Cream Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    baked pie shell
    1 stick butter
    2 c. milk or 1 c. milk and 1 c. cream
    1/4 c. cornstarch, stirred into 1/4 c. milk until smooth
Preparation
    Heat butter, 1 cup sugar and 2 cups milk in top of double boiler until butter melts.
    Add cornstarch and milk mixture to it and continue cooking and stirring until mixture thickens, about 5 minutes.
    Pour into baked pie shell.
    Sprinkle with nutmeg.
    Bake in 400\u00b0 oven for about 5 minutes.
