Easter Bunny Or Frosty Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients
-
1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. salt
6 c. flour
2 envelopes yeast
3/4 c. butter
1 c. boiling water
3/4 c. cold water
2 beaten eggs
Preparation
-
Sift sugar, 3 cups flour and yeast.
Stir butter into boiling water until melted.
Add cold water.
Stir in sifted mixture and eggs.
Beat with a wooden spoon until smooth.
Knead enough of remaining flour into the dough to make it non-sticky, holding together.
Cover with a clean towel and allow to double.
Here's where the children take over:
Roll into 8-inch snake a handful of dough.
Tie into a loose knot and place on a cookie sheet.
The knot is the bunny's face.
The ends are his ears.
Decorate with raisins or nuts or red hots.
Allow to double.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 12 to 15 minutes.
Supposedly this recipe freezes, but we devour the bunnies hot with honey.
