Sweet Peach Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    7 lb. peaches
    3 1/2 lb. sugar
    1 qt. vinegar
    stick cinnamon
    mace
    cloves
    spices
Preparation
    Select firm clingstone peaches.
    Remove the skin; tie spices in muslin bag and boil syrup of sugar and vinegar several minutes. Drop in a few peaches at a time and when tender, put in hot sterilized jars and pour syrup over them.
