Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. shortening
1 egg
1/4 tsp. each: cloves, ginger and cinnamon
2 c. flour
1/2 c. molasses
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. boiling water
1 tsp. soda
Preparation
-
Mix ingredients, except boiling water and soda, together all at once.
Add the boiling water and soda; blend well.
Pour into greased 8 x 8-inch pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 30 minutes.
