Never-Fail Pound Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 lb. butter
    1 stick oleo
    8 eggs
    3 c. flour
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Cream the butter, oleo and sugar.
    Add vanilla.
    Sift the flour and salt together.
    Add 3 eggs and half of the dry ingredients to butter and sugar.
    Add 3 more eggs and remainder of dry ingredients.
    Add 2 more eggs and beat until all are well blended.
    Pour into greased tube pan.
    Bake at 275\u00b0 for 1 1/4 hours, until firm.
