Cherry Chiffon Gelatin Salad - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 oz. cherry jello
    3 c. boiling water
    16 oz. pitted Bing cherries
    1 1/2 c. whipped topping
Preparation
    Dissolve jello in boiling water.
    Divide jello mixture into 2 equal parts.
    After jello starts to thicken, add Bing cherries to 1/2 of the mixture.
    Pour into a 9 x 13-inch pan; let set.
    Fold whipped topping into other 1/2 of jello mixture.
    Pour this over fruited layer after it has set.
    Refrigerate overnight until completely set.
    Serves 24.
