Broccoli Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    13 oz. butter
    13 oz. flour
    1 gal. hot water
    5 oz. chicken base
    2 lb. and 8 oz. chopped broccoli
    1 tsp. salt
    1/4 tsp. nutmeg
    1/6 tsp. red pepper
    1 qt. half and half
Preparation
    Melt butter.
    Add flour, stirring until cooked 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in water, chicken base, broccoli, salt, nutmeg and red pepper.
    Heat to boiling.
    Drop heat to medium, boil about 7 minutes until broccoli is tender.
    Add the half and half.
    Mix well.
