1 c. margarine
1 c. brown sugar
3 eggs
1 c. white sugar
2 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
2 c. quick cooking oats
1 c. small gumdrops
1 c. shredded coconut
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugar.
Add eggs and vanilla; beat well. Sift flour, salt, soda and baking powder together.
Add to creamed mixture and beat well.
Fold in coconut and gumdrops. Stir in oats until well mixed.
Drop by teaspoon onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350\u00b0 until lightly browned (about 15 minutes).
