Ingredients

1 c. butter
1/2 c. shortening
1 lb. brown sugar
1 c. white sugar
5 eggs
3 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 c. light cream
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Beat butter and shortening gradually.
Add sugar, creaming until light and fluffy.
Beat in eggs, one at a time.
Sift dry ingredients.
Add alternately with cream and vanilla.
Stir in nuts.
