Lizzies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 c. seedless raisins
    1/2 c. bourbon
    1 1/2 c. sifted flour
    1 1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/2 tsp. nutmeg
    1/2 tsp. cloves
    1/4 c. soft margarine or butter
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    2 eggs
    1/2 lb. citron, diced
    1 lb. whole candied cherries
    1 lb. pecan halves
Preparation
    Put raisins and bourbon in bowl.
    Mix well; let stand 1 hour. Sift
    together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and cloves; reserve.
    Put butter or oleo in large bowl of electric mixer
    and add
    brown
    sugar and eggs.
    Beat until mixture is light
    and fluffy.
    Beat in flour mixture with mixer or spoon, blending until smooth.
    Stir in raisins, citron, cherries and pecan halves.
    Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheets. Bake
    in slow
    oven
    (325\u00b0)
    about
    15 minutes or until firm. Remove
    to wire
    racks
    to
    cool.
    Makes 7 to 9 dozen.
    Store cookies airtight.
    Can be frozen.
    Good keepers, shippers.
