Salmon Cakes - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. potatoes, peeled and sliced
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 (15 1/2 oz.) can salmon or 2 (7 oz.) cans tuna, drained
    1 egg
    1/4 c. mayonnaise or salad dressing
    1/4 c. chopped green onions
    3 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
    2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
    1/4 tsp. each: pepper and salt
    1/4 c. all-purpose flour
    2 Tbsp. milk
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. fresh bread crumbs
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, divided
Preparation
    Boil potatoes 20 to 30 minutes with 1/2 teaspoon salt and water to barely cover.
    Drain and mash.
    Combine first 9 ingredients in a bowl.
    Shape into six patties.
