Grandma Churchill'S Chocolate Chip Cookies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. soft shortening (1/2 butter, 1/2 Crisco)
    1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. packed brown sugar
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. soda
    3 to 4 oz. chocolate chips
    1/2 c. coconut
    2 c. flour
Preparation
    Mix shortening, sugars, eggs and vanilla thoroughly.
    Stir together dry ingredients.
    Mix all together.
    Stir in chocolate chips and coconut.
    Refrigerate dough 1 to 2 hours.
    Drop rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto greased cookie sheet.
    Bake 8 to 10 minutes in 350\u00b0 oven.
    Makes 2 to 3 dozen.
