Cookie Sticks - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. vegetable oil
    1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
    1 egg
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 c. (6 oz.) chocolate chips
    1/2 c. chopped walnuts
Preparation
    In a mixing bowl, combine the oil, sugars, egg and vanilla; mix well.
    Combine flour, baking soda and salt; gradually add to sugar mixture.
    Divide dough in half.
    On a greased baking sheet, shape each portion into 15 x 3-inch rectangle, about 3-inches apart. Sprinkle chocolate chips and nuts over dough; press lightly.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 6 to 7 minutes.
    (Bake 8 to 9 minutes for crispier cookies.)
    Cool for 5 minutes.
    Cut with a serrated knife into 1-inch strips; remove to wire racks to cool.
    Yield:
    about 3 dozen.
