Paska Bread(Easter Bread) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 yeast cake (2 oz.)
    1 c. lukewarm water
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    1/4 c. shortening (butter)
    3/4 c. sugar
    3 c. scalded milk
    3 eggs (warm)
    pinch of salt
    10 or more c. flour
    1 box raisins (optional)
Preparation
    Pour hot milk over sugar and shortening.
    Let cool to lukewarm.
    Crumble yeast in water and sugar.
    Let stand for 5 minutes.
    Sift flour in large bowl.
    Add salt and beaten eggs. Add milk and yeast mixture.
    Knead until smooth and elastic.
    Let rise in warm place 2 hours.
    (Cover.)
    Punch down, cover and let go for 1 hour.
    Flour board.
    Divide set in enamel pot.
    Let rise for 10 minutes; brush with milk.
    Prick with fork.
    Set in oven at 325\u00b0 10 minutes at 350\u00b0 (40 minutes).
