Dark Cocoa Pie - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. cocoa
1/4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
2 c. milk (or water)
2 egg yolks
3 Tbsp. butter
1 tsp. vanilla
1 baked pie shell
Preparation

Line a deep pie pan with pie crust.
Bake quickly 10 to 15 minutes
in hot oven.
Scald the milk.
Sift cocoa, flour, sugar and
salt.\tGradually
add\tscalded
milk, mixing well. Cook, stirring
constantly until thick.
Slightly beat yolks. Add
a little
of the thick mixture to yolks, then add all to the\tcooked mixture.
Cook
a\twhile
longer,\tstirring.
Add butter
and vanilla.
Pour
into
baked pie shell.
Let cool. Beat
egg whites
with
3
tablespoons of sugar for meringue. Brown.
