Shrimp Creole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/3 c. shortening
    1 lb. raw or frozen shrimp
    1/2 c. minced onion
    1/2 c. chopped bell pepper
    2 tsp. salt
    1 can tomato sauce
    1/4 c. flour
    1 garlic bud, minced
    2 Tbsp. parsley, minced
    1 c. water
    1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper
Preparation
    Melt shortening in a heavy pot over high heat.
    Add flour and stir until light brown.
    Lower heat.
    Add shrimp.
    Cook 5 minutes or until pink.
    Add garlic, onion, parsley and bell pepper.
    Cook 2 minutes longer.
    Turn up heat; gradually add water and remaining ingredients.
    Bring to a boil; simmer, covered, for 25 minutes. Serve over rice.
