Fresh Apple Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. sugar
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. soda
    1 1/2 Tbsp. buttermilk
    1/2 tsp. vanilla
    1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour
    1 c. peeled and grated apples
    1/2 tsp. cinnamon
    1/2 c. shortening
    2 c. all-purpose flour
    1 tsp. salt
    1 1/2 Tbsp. sugar
    1 c. pecans
Preparation
    Combine 1 cup sugar and the shortening. Cream until light. Add eggs; beat well. Combine 2 cups flour, soda and salt.
    Combine buttermilk and vanilla.
    Add dry ingredients to creamed mixture. Add pecans and apples into batter.
    Pour into loaf pan. Bake at 350\u00b0.
    Makes 1 loaf.
