Ground Beef Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. ground beef
    3/4 c. chopped onion
    1 Tbsp. oil
    1 can mushroom soup
    1 can tomatoes
    1 c. Minute rice
    1 tsp. salt
    1/2 bay leaf
    4 slices American cheese
    several olives (if desired)
    1/2 tsp. oregano
    1/2 tsp. garlic powder
Preparation
    Brown meat in oil. Add onions and cook until tender. Add seasonings, soup, tomatoes and rice. Simmer 5 minutes. Pour in long, flat casserole. Garnish with cheese and olives. Broil until cheese is melted. Serves 6 to 8.
