Devil Dogs - cooking recipe

Ingredients

6 Tbsp. shortening
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. milk
5 Tbsp. cocoa
1 1/4 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
2 c. flour

Preparation

Combine all ingredients and mix well.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet about 1 1/2 inches apart.
Bake at 400\u00b0 for 10 to 12 minutes.
Let cool and spread filling
between 2 cookies, forming a sandwich.
