Ingredients

1 (28 oz.) can sliced beets (undrained)
1/2 c. sugar
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. vinegar
1 Tbsp. butter
Preparation

Do not drain beets.
Heat to boiling point.
Mix sugar and stir in cornstarch and when smooth, add to hot beets.
Cook slowly for 5 minutes.
Add butter just before serving.
