Scrumptious Baked Squash - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 lb. yellow summer squash, sliced
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    3/4 c. cracker meal or bread crumbs
    2 eggs
    1 tsp. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. butter, melted
    8 to 10 crackers
Preparation
    Cook sliced squash in water.
    Drain well and mash with potato masher.
    Add all remaining ingredients, except 1/2 of the melted butter and the crackers.
    Pour mixture into a nongreased loaf baking dish, then pour the rest of the butter and cracker crumbs on top.
    Bake at 375\u00b0 for 50 minutes or until brown.
    Yields 4 to 6 servings.
