Easy Time Party Squares - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1/2 lb. oleo
1/2 c. sugar
4 eggs
2 c. sifted flour
1 Tbsp. lemon extract or juice
1 can pie filling (examples: blueberry, apple, raisin, cherry; almost any kind will do)

Preparation

Grease jelly roll pan, 15 x 10 x 1-inch. Cream oleo until soft. Gradually add sugar and beat well. Add eggs, one at a time. Add flour gradually. Add lemon juice or extract. Spread batter in pan. Lightly score into 20 pieces. Place 1 heaping tablespoonful of pie filling on each square. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes. While warm, sprinkle with confectioners sugar.
