Oatmeal Crisps - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. shortening (1 stick margarine and 1/2 c. Crisco)
1 c. brown sugar, packed
1 c. granulated sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 1/2 c. sifted flour
1 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt
3 c. quick cook oats
1/2 c. chopped nuts
Preparation

Cream shortening and sugars together.
Add eggs and vanilla. Sift flour, salt and soda.
Add to creamed mixture. Stir in oats and nuts; mix well.
Drop by tablespoon onto cookie sheet.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 10 minutes or until lightly browned.
Makes 5 dozen.
