Blonde Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. shortening
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 Tbsp. hot water
    2 tsp. vanilla
    2 eggs
    2 c. flour
    1 tsp. baking powder
    1/4 tsp. soda
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. nuts
    1 pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation
    Melt shortening; remove from heat.
    Add brown sugar and water. Let cool.
    Stir in vanilla and eggs.
    Add dry ingredients.
    Pour into pan.
    Add chocolate chips on top.
    Bake at 350\u00b0.
