Light Fruit Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    10 eggs
    1 lb. butter
    3 lb. raisins (3 boxes)
    2 lb. currants (2 boxes)
    1 1/2 lb. sugar (4 1/2 c.)
    1 1/2 lb. flour (7 1/2 c.)
    1 lb. walnuts (4 c.)
    1 c. maraschino cherries, chopped
    1 c. brandy, wine or whiskey or a blend of some or all
    2 tsp. cinnamon
    1 tsp. mace
    1 1/2 tsp. yeast powder (baking powder)
Preparation
    Cream butter and sugar; add eggs.
    Mix dry ingredients (flour, baking powder and spices) in a separate bowl; alternate with cup of liquid.
    Add raisins, currants and cherries; this is a very heavy batter and you might want to literally get your hands into it.
