Old-Fashioned Scalloped Apples - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 large tart apples
    1/4 tsp. cinnamon
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1 Tbsp. lemon juice
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1/4 c. water
    3/4 c. light brown sugar
    1/4 c. flour
    1/3 c. butter
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
    Butter a 1-quart casserole dish. Pare, core
    and slice apples. Place in the buttered casserole and sprinkle
    with cinnamon, salt, lemon juice and water. Dot with vanilla.
    Mix the brown sugar, flour and butter together and spread
    over the apples and bake for 30 minutes. Best when served warm.
