Spoon Bread - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. corn meal
    1/2 tsp. sugar
    2 Tbsp. shortening
    3/4 tsp. baking powder
    1 c. milk
    2 eggs
    1/2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Place
    corn
    meal
    that has been sifted before measuring and milk
    in a saucepan and let come to a boil, stirring well. Remove from
    fire;
    add salt, shortening and sugar.
    Let cool. Add baking powder and beaten egg yolks and last the egg whites which have
    been
    beaten
    stiff.
    Bake in greased casserole at 325\u00b0 to 350\u00b0 for 40 to 45 minutes.
